Next steps


With a foundation in place now, my next development goals will include:

  • Dynamic quest system
    • Procedurally generated quests with new rewards system
    • Rewards may include new upgrade items that allow scaling of early Unique item drops to remain useful in the late game
  • Refine and add more items to leverage the new work in progress elemental mechanic
  • Continue to add unique bosses and items with distinct and thoughtful mechanics
  • Continuous balancing of items and gameplay to target play time of ~15-30 minute runs
  • Improve game sounds, visuals and overall feel

I also have some ideas that are predicated on a more stable and larger player base which will depend on the growth of the game:

  • Persistent accounts
    • This opens up space for meta-progression
  • Weekly leaderboard challenges
